Schedule or Refer


To connect with a Success Coach, reach out to us via email at or call 724.738.2011. Our team will connect you with a Success Coach to schedule your first session.

If you have already been assigned a Success Coach, you will see this information in your MySRU student profile. 


Step 1: Log In

In your web browser, go to Use Net ID to sign in using your SRU credentials (SRU email and password). 

Step 2: Click Schedule Appointment 

From your Civitas Inspire Dashboard, click on the “Schedule Appointment” link in the Connect tile.  

Step 3: Search Appointments for Success Coaching Office and Your Success Coach 

 In the “Calendar: Search Appointments” screen, search for the Success Coaching office and use the Advisor(s) drop down to select the name of your Success Coach.

After selecting a success coach, then select your preferred appointment date range and click “Search.” 

Step 4: Select an Appointment Date and Time 

A Results List will appear in chronological order. Look for a date and time that fits your schedule. Open availability for your success coach will appear in blue. Once you find a time that works, click the blue schedule box. 

Step 5: Confirm Appointment Details 

A scheduling wizard screen will appear that will walk you through booking your appointment. You will see the date at the top, all possible time options on each row, and the time that you have selected will be checked in the left column. 

If the date and time are correct, in the section below you can choose appointment modality (in person, virtual - Zoom, or phone). Then, choose an appropriate session topic. You may write an additional note to your success coach about what you would like to discuss in your coaching session, and attach relevant documents if needed. Then click schedule appointment.  

To View Your Success Coaching Appointments

At any time, you can log in to Civitas Inspire and view your appointments by clicking on the calendar menu and choosing “My Appointments & Events” 


Students, faculty, staff, and community members can refer a student to Success Coaching by emailing or calling 724-738-2011. Referrals for Success Coaching should be based on a student struggling with at least one of the following:

  • Academic challenges related to academic habits, learning strategies, and/or studying
  • Academic motivation and/or interest in coursework
  • Exam preparation
  • Skills to transition smoothly to college academic environment
  • Balancing commitments, time management, and prioritization
  • Academic stress
  • Academic progress and/or academic standing; academic planning to improve grades
  • Academic goal setting

Please remember, if you know a student's specific need, refer them to the office specializing in that area. If a student needs general academic guidance, refer them to a success coach who will help them create an action plan, determine campus resources, and provide accountability.
