All international exchange students are required to verify sufficient funds for the issuance of the Form DS-2019 used to obtain the students visa for entry into the United States. If the bank statement you submit is not your own please have the sponsor complete an affidavit of support. For a copy of Slippery Rock University's Financial Support Statement specific to your exchange costs email international.admissions@sru.edu.
Bank statements and financial support statements should be uploaded in the application portal or emailed to international.admissions@sru.edu. If emailing be sure to include the Banner ID (P1*******).
Beginning with the Fall 2026 application, students must submit sponsor information in the applicantion form OR indiciate that they intend to submit their own bank statement for financial verification. Once the application is submitted the sponsor(s) provided will receive an email with a link to the complete the SRU Financial Affidavit form. Applicants will upload the completed affidavit along with acceptable bank documents in the application portal. Sponsors should reference the total estimated cost for attendance based on degree type below to complete the Financial Affidavit form.
