Music Major for a Day
The Slippery Rock University Music Department and the Slippery Rock University Chapter of Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association would like to invite any high school student to become a music major for a day. Enjoy some time virtually at Slippery Rock University and see what a typical virtual schedule is like for a music major. The day will include a mixture of classes, ensembles, and a chance to talk to students and faculty.
Tentative Schedule (subject to change)
8:00am-9:15am: Welcome Meeting
9:25am-11:45pm: Observe Classes/Talk to Current Students (breaks included)
(Parent meeting at 9:30 am with Dr. Kathleen Melago and Admissions)
12:00pm-12:45pm: Music Major Q&A
12:45pm-1:00pm: Lunch Break
1:00pm-1:45pm: Meet the Faculty and Studio
2:00pm-4:30pm: Ensemble Observations
