The facilities team continues to clear snow and treat roadways and walkways for ice, prioritizing residence halls and key paths to essential services such as Boozel Dining Hall and the Student Health Center.
Clearing walkways, parking lots, and building entrances ensures students can move safely and confidently across campus, even in challenging winter conditions. Our teams work around the clock to plow, salt, and monitor conditions. Their extraordinary efforts maintain operations and help protect students' ability to live, learn, and stay connected to campus life.
Our primary goal is to provide reliable pathways that reduce stress, prevent injuries, and minimize disruption to your day. Please allow extra time and use extreme caution while navigating campus. The University recommends that students stay inside, unless traveling by foot across campus for essential needs such as food. If you must move your vehicle, remember to clear snow from it as required by law to support road safety. Those with vehicles should expect significant snow cover to clear.
Your safety, your time, and your campus experience matter. Thank you for your patience as our facilities team continues to provide dedicated, high‑quality service.
Reminder: On Monday, January 26, most campus buildings will be closed. All staff work and academic instruction will be remote. The buildings and services below will be open, when conditions permit, so check ahead for hours of operation. An announcement will be made when possible.
